Snyder's Food and Drink Policy

This isn't a cafeteria, and we need to respect that some people find munching distracting as they learn.  BUT, sometimes it's difficult to learn if you're hungry.

Feel free to eat and drink during class, BUT...
  • Don't bring any single-use drink containers into class (containers intended for single use even if you use them more than once).  That includes Tim Hortons cups, water bottles, etc.  If you want to sip a drink all class, get a travel mug or water bottle.  They're only $5 at Tim Hortons - and you get a discount every time you use it!
  • No junk food (bags of chips) or "rattly" food (bags of cereal) or offensively smelly food (a fish dinner).  But do feel free to eat an apple or sandwich or anything healthy, quiet, and not too odiferous.
  • Don't have so much food on your desk that you don't have room to take notes.
  • Try to get up early enough for breakfast and spend at least part of your lunchtime actually eating.
